Marcin Tybura faces Sergey Spivak at UFC Norfolk

Marcin Tybura

Light heavyweights Marcin Tybura and Sergey Spivak will meet on February 29, 2020 at UFC Norfolk which is set to be headlined by a flyweight championship bout between Joseph Benavidez and Deiveson Figueiredo, the UFC announced the matchup Thursday.

34-year-old Marcin Tybura will be fighting for the first time since UFC Fight Night 158 – Cowboy vs. Gaethje in September 2019, when he suffered a loss to Augusto Sakai (Brazil) by first-round knockout. The loss put him on a two-fight skid and dropped his professional record to 17 wins 6 losses and 0 draws (4-5-0 UFC).

Meanwhile, Sergey Spivak’s record currently stands at 10 wins, 1 loss and 0 draws (1-1-0 UFC). The 24-year-old Ukrainian will look to prevent Tybura from getting back on the winning track. Spivak last fought on October 5, 2019, defeating Australian Tai Tuivasa by an arm-triangle choke. That was his first win since suffering the only loss of his career at the hands of Walt Harris in May 2019.
