Makhmud Muradov replaces Brad Tavares at UFC Brasilia

The UFC has found a replacement for Brad Tavares. 2 months and 11 days from the event, Makhmud Muradov accepted the UFC Brasilia card spot as a replacement for injured Brad Tavares to face Antonio Carlos Jr. in a middleweight affair.

The 29-year-old Makhmud Muradov made his professional MMA debut 7 years and 8 months ago. Since then, he has made 30 appearances in the cage resulting in 24 wins, 6 losses and 0 draws (2-0-0 UFC).

Currently, the Uzbek fighter is on a impressive 13-fight winning streak and most recently defeated Trevor Smith via knockout in the third round on December 7, 2019 at UFC on ESPN 7 – Overeem vs. Rozenstruik. Prior to the win he scored a third-round unanimous decision win over Alessio Di Chirico in September, 2019.

UFC Brasilia is set to take place on March 14, 2020 in Brasilia, Brazil. No headliner has been announced for the event yet.
