In the main event, an interim UFC lightweight champion will be determined when UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway steps up in weight to take on Dustin Poirier. This will be a rematch of their UFC 143 encounter seven years ago, which Poirier won via first-round submission. This marked Holloway’s first UFC bout and his first professional loss. Both have come a long way since the bout both had early on in their careers, with the 145-pound champion currently on a 13-fight win streak, while Poirier is unbeaten in his last five.

The interim UFC middleweight championship will be on the line in the co-main event, as Kelvin Gastelum faces Israel Adesanya.
