Rhys McKee will challenge for the title at Cage Warriors 115

Rhys McKee is set to challenge for the welterweight title, which was recently vacated by former champion Ross Houston. It has been officially announced on the promotion’s website that on May 16, the Belfast SSE Arena will host its first Cage Warriors show headlined by the hometown fighter Ross Houston, who returns to action against an opponent to be announced soon in a welterweight affair with the world title on the line.

24-year old Rhys McKee is currently riding a 3-fight winning streak that started in December 2018. He will enter the fight with a 10-2-1 record (Wins-Losses-Draws), including 3-0-0 in the promotion. The Northern Irish fighter last fought in November 2019 at CW 110 when he won a 1-round TKO over Hakon Foss. Prior to that, he took a third-round guillotine choke win over Perry Goodwin, whom he fought at CW 102 on March 2, 2019.
