UFC middleweight Bruno Silva (19-6-0) will not be allowed to compete in the promotion until 2021. According to MMA Fighting’s sources, former M-1 Global champion tested positive for the steroid boldenone.
The Brazilian would debut in the organization in June 2019, but was forced to withdraw from the fight against Deron Winn due to the banned substance found in his sample.
The 30-year-old Bruno Silva has been competing as a pro since June 5, 2010. He has gone 4-0 in his last four outings and most recently defeated Artem Frolov via TKO in the fourth round on November 2, 2018 at M-1 Challenge 98 for the M-1 Global middleweight title. Prior to the win he scored a first-round knockout win over ex-Bellator middleweight champ Alexander Shlemenko in June 2018.
